Every motorcycle battery has a CCA, or cold cranking amps, rating printed somewhere on the label. It's easy to skim past, but it's one of the more useful numbers on the box when you're deciding whether a battery is actually a good match for your bike, especially if you ride somewhere with real winters.
What CCA actually measures
CCA is a standardized measure of how much current a battery can deliver for a short burst, at a specified cold temperature, while still holding enough voltage to crank the engine over. In plain terms, it's a proxy for cranking power under the worst realistic conditions: a cold engine that needs more effort to turn over, powered by a battery whose own chemical reactions slow down in the cold.
